5W2M Challenge – Week 3

I gotta go pack and shower and run a few last-last minute errands before we take off for the mountain tonight.  To all of you who called me crazy for snowboarding after a 20 miler, congratulations, you are smarter than I am.

( In my defense we’re going for a friend’s bday and it was planned long before the 5W2M craziness came along. )

One casualty from today’s run :

Yes, I went there with a foot picture.  Get over it, and DON’T click to zoom.

Miles 0-18 were butterflies and rainbows.  Loved life.  Went from ‘happy‘ to ‘stabby‘ in about .2 seconds.  Seriously there were points in those final miles I thought I was going to either throw up, cry, or both.  Simultaneously.  And that’s hard.  Unless you’re drunk.

Anywho, here’s how Week 3 of 5W2M shaped up :

I would like to take this time to thank my subordinates at work for making it completely physically impossible to have any sort of workout while I was in Houston.  That is all I have to say about that.

Peace out – I’ll be back Sunday or Monday.  Hopefully with no broken bones to speak of.

  1. Oh man, my toes hurt just looking at that pictures. The only time I got blisters and I cried about it, was when I went running in Mammoth.

    Have fun, don’t stare at those toes and try not to think about it!

    Nice work on the LR lady! Can you move to STL so we can be running buddies PLEAAAASE?!?!

  3. Oh that does not look pretty. Thought I admit that wouldn’t last long on my foot. *pop*

    Congrats on running your 20 miler!! I’m oddly jealous, even though I just ran 10 today and it kicked my ass. Still trying to figure out how I’m going to run a marathon in November.
