5W2M Commencement & Expo

I just wanted to prove that I do shower/put on makeup/blow dry my hair every once in a while.  I realize y’all probably think I’m a smelly, yucky, dirty-tshirt-wearing mess all the time, and I didn’t want to scare away any potential BFFs.

(ahem, I’m not sure why you’d think that…)

So we drove up to LA for the expo, and I didn’t punch anybody.  Small miracle.  I guess I was too busy shoving samples in my face and telling B to sneak another Lara bar/protein shake/Pom coupon into my bag.

The shirts are pretty sweet, and I’m all jazzed because I don’t have any orange running gear.  Probably because it washes me out and makes me look like a redhead.  Other than that, though…

Another AWESOME BEST NEWS EVER find at the expo?  The expo I planned to sprint through and not spend any extra time at?  Two pairs of “once worn” Brooks Ghost 3’s in MY SIZE, for $50 each.  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are now four IDENTICAL pairs of this shoe in our home, and I’m not ashamed one bit.  When you find a shoe that works and they’re about to release an upgrade and stop making this model you stock up like the damn apocolypse is coming.  I don’t care what your “budget” or your “significant other that contributes to more than 50% of the household income” says.

Luckily my “sotctmt50%othi” was all,  “Sarah look, here’s another pair!  Get them both!”

Living with a fellow runner sure makes life easy.
