VEGAS : Day#3 – Going Out in (ballerina) Style

I may or may not have a fun little interactive something-another up my sleeve, so don’t worry, this won’t be the last you see of our glitzy, glammy, drunkass Vegas faces.

I have to say though, I am THRILLED to not be spending 36% of my day staring at Picnik and ruining my work computer’s hard drive with 1,047 MB of hot-mess photos anymore.

Work, if you’re reading this, I’m totally kidding – they’re saved on a flash drive.

Swear…

After the Billboard Awards we made the long trek back to the room, since we had about a billion liquid ounces of booze left in the fridge that we did NOT want to haul back to CA with us :

Here’s a little insider tip straight from small-town Ohio :  (I learned a lot of these lessons the hard & painful way during high school, consider the uncommissioned sharing my gratuitous good deed for the month

When you have lots of booze & a manageable-sized group of people with low-to-moderate ADHD levels, PLAY DRINKING GAMES.

Lots of laughs, lots of chugging, lots of unveiled secrets and (possibly) exposed body parts to strangers.  Classic Kings…

Once we were all properly drunk & humiliated, we changed into more walking-friendly clothes to terrorize the strip one final time.

And by “walking-friendly” I mean sandals, and… the TUTU!

Coyote Ugly was the only bar we paid a cover at all weekend.  I guess when you have half-naked cowgirls dancing on the bar you don’t need to bribe groups of cute but mostly-clothed girls to come play.  EVEN if they’re wearing a tutu.  Hmph.

Regardless, it was a blast.  My favorite bar in Vegas, hands down.  Sure, that MIGHT be because they let us on the bar and poured free (sugary) shots down our throats.  Or that you could easily come in holey jeans and drink canned beer and fit right in.  (what’d I tell you about taking the girl outta the country, and not putting the OC in the girl?)

And that, my friends, concludes the voyage of Le Tutu & Friends.  Reminder to y’all that threatened to invite me on your next Vegas excursion : it’s a quick 4 hour drive.  I’ll be there.

… Tutu in tow.

  1. SOOOOOO fun! What a great weekend :) I can’t believe you are getting married so soon!

So, I’ll definitely be in Vegas in December. I’ll just spot in the crowd – over all of the all of the short runners. BUT, I might I also be there in September for my brother’s wedding. I am just a Vegas party animal! Good thing I love it :)

  2. Cute tutu..a la Carrie from SATC

I’ve never been to Coyote Ugly in Vegas, although I’ve passed by it many times. Will check it out next time.

You and your friends are crazy fun, I want to crash your party and join, or be a fly on the wall and watch y’all.

One month countdown. Yay! Take it from someone who got married a few days ago, breath, enjoy the planning process and don’t fret over the small stuff….really! Remember that the day is about you and B, everyone is there to celebrate your love.

Hope to catch up with you soon. By the time I get back from my honeymoon, you’ll be a married woman. Welcome to the club!
