After a few quality hours at the office (L & I work for the same company, so she’s able to work from the CA office while she’s in town) ((Mini Twin gets to lay by the pool and nap all day bc she’s a baby and living the good life that comes with summer vacations)) we grabbed our tourist hats and took off northbound.
I am really not a fan of LA. It’s dirty, and full of people with fanny packs and cameras around their necks. I would rather drive in rush hour traffic on the 5 than walk down Hollywood Blvd on a weekend. Everybody walks .003 mph, staring at the ground trying to read every star’s name, and when they see one they like/know and come to a screeching halt to take a damn photo it requires some serious football juke steps to avoid accidentally Father Nelson’ing them.
But I do think it’s one of those places everybody should see. So, I suck up my Tinsel Town Grudge when we have visitors and shamelessly snap stupid photos like you’re supposed to.
Tequila and a taping of Chelsea Lately (remember when MT and I went last year?) are efficient bribery tools.

Looks like a super fun day! I have never been to L.A. but it’s definitely on my list of places to visit at some point!

I was really surprised by the walk of fame area. It looks so nice on TV and it basically looks like the ghetto in person. I liked seeing the Chinese Theatre though. That was pretty cool.

LOL. Ok, I just noticed you were one of the people that stopped to take a pic with one of the stars on the walk of fame. hahaha! Hopefully no one Father Nelsoned you while doing that. And I’m not even sure what that means.

Yes, yes we did. It was a Monday, though, so it’s not breaking any of my self-appointed Tinsel Town Rules. I told you we wore our tourist hats! :)

I’m drooling over the chips and marg, I didn’t even see the rest of the post (jk). There’s a decent chance that exact same meal (with oodles of cheese) and a marg as big as my head will get me to the finish line on Saturday. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I also despise spending time in Hollywood.
The part of LA I like is west of the 405. And south of the 10.

Aw cute little Chuy! Didn’t you just want to squeeze him and fit his fatty self in your purse and take him home with you?
…So this means you’re practically famous right? Will you still be friends with us minions/common folk?

I’m not a big fan of Hollywood/LA either. It is for the most part super ghetto. I grew up only a couple hours from there and we hardly ever went. I would rather make a trip to the beach! (In the OC, haha)

Totally agree with you on LA – it’s such a pain in the a to try to do ANYTHING there :). But I’m kinda jealous on the CH taping – that looks like so much fun. I’m totally living vicariously through you and all your fun posts :).
